Membership - PLEASE READ!

MEMBERSHIP


It has come to the Society`s attention that confusion has arisen regarding how new members apply to join our Society.

We have a membership form whereby applicants are requested to complete their bank details in order for a standing order to be set up for an immediate payment of £5, and then annually on the 1st January.

We have noted that, in good faith, some applicants have contacted their bank themselves and set up the standing order. However, this means that a membership number has not yet been allocated and therefore when payment is received by the Society, it is sometimes very difficult to match the payment to the member.

We have also in the past accepted cash as payment but we have noted that quite a lot of new members then, understandably, forget to pay the following year and don`t realise that their membership has lapsed.

The committee therefore requests that all applicants complete an application form in full, available from our store or to download via the website (www.llantwit-major-horticultural-society.com/membership), and return to our membership secretary, details of which are on the form. The application can then be processed and the appropriate section of the form forwarded to the bank by our membership secretary.

For those who have previously paid membership to the society but have forgotten to pay your subscription for 2024,please ensure this is paid asapand contact membership secretary Jarrod Windsor or email us to confirm renewal. One of the perks of membership is access to our exclusive newsletter content and those who remain on the mailing list without paying for renewal will unfortunately be removed in June.
