ABOUT US
Llantwit Major Horticultural Society has been an established society for over 40 years and currently has over 450 members. The society is organised by the committee which is made up of 12 voluntary members who meet monthly during the year. As a society, we host events all the way through the year until our Christmas break, including monthly guest speakers who visit us to discuss a range of topics, coach trips throughout the UK and our annual summer show held each August.
Members enjoy a large range of benefits from access to help and advice, a monthly newsletter packed with information and access to our society store which can be found on the allotments behind the Llantwit Major Fire Station. Each year we organise the ordering of bedding plants, potatoes and onion sets, take part in community events like the flower show and help promote local and uk wide initiatives such as the NGS open gardens.
Members of all ages, backgrounds and gardening expertise are warmly welcomed into the society and we encourage all to help out where they can, from stewarding our summer show to manning our society store and joining our friendly bunch of volunteers.
We look forward to welcoming you.
