January Guest Speaker Report

On Wednesday, we welcomed Dot Williams from Butterfly Conservation, who spoke in particular about the High Brown Fritillary butterfly which can now only be found at one site in Wales - on the Alun Valley in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Dot provided us with lots of information about how we can all help to save this beautiful butterfly from extinction and we learnt all about the favoured food and habitat of the caterpillar. 

We hope to visit the Alun Valley site in the summer and we thank Dot and all who attended for a very enjoyable and informative talk.
